In my late 30’s, I find that my love and addiction for video games remains as strong as it did while growing up. To me, rated ‘M’ for Mature refers to my age. I am living proof that video games are not just for kids. I’m also living proof that when your mom catches you masturbating at 17, you can get past it and eventually lead a normal life. When I’m not working for the government, you can find me spending time with family, my beautiful wife, and 2 awesome kids. I enjoy fishing, fried chicken, Ravens football, motorsports, guns, sour patch kids, music, me, Helen Keller jokes, shoes, and yes….video games. I have accepted that gaming will always be a part of my life. Especially now as my job is extremely stressful. While some people use bubble baths, television, cinema, literature, or music for relaxation, I use PlayStation and Xbox. What’s the difference? The difference is I get judged for being a gamer in my late 30’s.
Apparently it’s not “socially acceptable”.
Well neither is making fun of Helen Keller.
Not that I’ve done that. I’m just saying….
